I think that the women in the story is scarred of the silo outside and is unable to sleep and should see a doctor for help. I think that this couple is going through a hard time from losing their boy. I think the man tried to crash the airplane that they bought for their son one christmas into the silo. The ending was unclear and I dont really like the story, it is hard to understand.
