I don't really understand what is going on in this story but it starts out with a woman that is sick with allergies or something of the sort. In their country, there have been explodings of silos and their neighbors place has nothing left of it. Then end's significance i think is that his son is riding in his plane and his dad remembers the day he gave the plane to him and i think he's thankful nothing has happened to his family. My overall response to this short story is that it is hard to understand and follow. The ending is the most confusing. I don't really understand the significance of that his son is doing and why his dad would remember the day he gave the plane to him.
