A Christmas Story

In the first six or so sentences I think that the lady in this story is maby going crazy. They talk about going to a doctor and and she denies it by saying "It's that out there" referring to the silos that have been blowing up for no reason.
I think that maby she doesn't know what to think about it and there is something wrong going on, and baby the couple in the story was loosing their hard work and money by the silo's blowing up.
The significance of the ending to the beginning of the story I think is that when he is riding his son's plane and moving down hill face and remembering when he had bought and spent just a little to much money for it, he was remembering good times in there life before all of the silo's had gone away.
